What
As part of a project to explore the typographical form in our daily lives, the challenge was to showcase through any creative medium the transit from home to university, using typography.
Approach
I took photographs to map my way around the city, and related keywords to matching elements. I noted down every sign I passed in public transport and with the help of Adobe Capture app, I was able to identify the closest match to the types around me. Which later on became illustrations, and at the end were animated to recreate the movement inside the U-Bahn and edited the sounds you hear while on the train.
Outcome
The video simulates the passage through U-Bahn stations and the different typographies present. All seen through the inside of the train.
